Advertising Account Director Agriculture (Client Services)

About the Role: The Account Director is responsible for guiding our clients in the planning of strategies and programs to create stronger relationships with customers.

The Account Director must be an authority on cross-channel marketing and lead the client in transforming current practices and processes.

Conversant with digital strategy, social media, content marketing and marketing technology, the Account Director will apply an understanding of best practices in customer experience management to the formulation of new programs and the introduction of innovative strategic approaches.

The Account Director must also be expert in converting data analysis into strategic insights that will enhance the customer experience and drive engagement.

Comfortable working with multi-disciplinary teams, the Account Director must steer the implementation of programs across multiple touch points, ensuring that program goals and objectives are realized.

What you will do: Orchestrate the design and development of segment-based customer lifecycle management programs, from initial conception to in-market execution.

Develop marketing investment scenarios and budgets to optimize program ROI.

Create content strategies and plans to support customer communication programs.

Collaborate with internal analytics specialists to generate insight into customer behavior and measure program performance.

Develop program concepts, proposals and internal briefs to drive program design and development.

Contribute to brand value proposition development and positioning strategies.

Facilitate client workshops and ideation sessions centered around the customer experience.

Participate as a member of the internal marketing team, contributing thought leadership content.

Be the trusted point of contact for clients by continuously providing support for short
– and long-term goal.

Develop and maintain current knowledge of client’s business, objectives, products, programs, brands, services, competitors and business strategies.

Oversee finances associated with the client’s projects, including account budgets and billings while you ensure overall financial health of ongoing projects.

Manage, lead and mentor colleagues as required.

Requirements About You: 7 years’ work experience at an advertising, communications or marketing agency.

Experience in B2B data-driven marketing, including database marketing, CRM, digital media, lead management and customer loyalty programs.

Exposure to, or direct experience with, the crop inputs sectors of the agriculture industry required (client-side or agency).

A thorough understanding of strategic planning, advertising and marketing campaigns with a successful track record of developing and executing annual plans in the agriculture industry.

A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead collaborative, strategic thinking and planning sessions, while meeting individual deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities with sharp analytical skills and an attention to detail.

Proven business and financial acumen with experience developing proposals, establishing budgets and negotiating contract.
