Amdocs: Lead Software Support Engineer

At Amdocs, we are leading the digital revolution and transforming large organizations with technology.Our software powers some of the largest organizations in the world and we are looking for someone to join our team and help us build the future.Role DescriptionWe are hiring for our SmartOps.This team is responsible for building and running production systems at scale.You’ll use your Operations experience, Development Skillset, and understanding of complex Infrastructure to build stable, secure, resilient systems, that provide enterprise services to our customers.We are looking for creative and talented individuals that like solving complex challenges.What will your job look like?SmartOps will be dedicated to creating software that improves the reliability of systems in production, fixing issues, responding to incidents and supporting 24×7 via an on-call rotationBuilding, supporting, and enhancing deployment pipelines to enable production changes.Improve system reliability through the optimization of on-call processes.Adding automation and context to alerts and building self-healing mechanisms to prevent human involvement.Update runbooks, tools and documentation to streamline future incidents.Conduct post-incident reviews (RCAs), to identify what’s working and what’s not document the findings and take action on the learnings.All you need is…3+ years of experience in software/production support.Experience in SQL, Weblogic, Shell Scripting, is a must have.Knowledge of Java/C++ based projects would be preferred, Python experience is good to have.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.Responsible for providing the Root Cause analysis, trouble shoot and identify best solution to complete the orders E2E.Responsible for continuous improvement, guiding and developing teamHaving CM/INV/AR knowledge is added advantageDevelop a thorough understanding of a customers desired end state and support/handle them with qualityResponsible for all M& P Resolution documentation, Ability to manage onshore & offshore teams.Adhere to production SLAs/KPIs, bring efficiency by providing automation and innovation.Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.Why you will love this job:On the SmartOps team, you’ll have the opportunity to build next generation production systems from the ground up.SmartOps culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem solving and openness is key to its success.
