Our Dealer Relations team is a critical organization focused on managing our relationship with our Canadian Tire Store Associate Dealers.

The team is focused on three main aspects of our Dealer relationship: Dealer Support, Dealer Contract & Performance and In-Store Dealer Technology.

The Associate Vice President (AVP), Dealer Support (Bilingual) role will partner with assigned Associate Dealers as well as with internal stakeholders to ensure we continue to build a strong relationship with our Dealer network.

The leader in this role will champion the development of the processes and tools required to support Dealers through their career, identify the characteristics of successful Dealers, and work closely with the AVP of Dealer Career to help recruit, select and train successful future Dealers.

The incumbent will provide their best advice and act as a sounding-board to their assigned Dealers on such matters as: mobility and next store assignments, how to best navigate the organization and all Dealer related business problems.

What you’ll do This role will partner with assigned Associate Dealers as well as with internal stakeholders to ensure we continue to build a strong relationship with our Dealer network.

Provide one-to-one partnership directly to our Associate Dealers to manage the individual Dealer lifecycle: Identify and address Dealer-specific matters, as well as systematic issues within the Dealer network Work closely with peers to provide thought leadership in creating processes and tools to support Dealers throughout their career, including Dealer Training.

Help to recruit and select prospective candidates that will become successful Dealers Ensure assigned Dealers are operating in accordance with the Dealer Contract Administration of the store mobility system What you bring The successful candidate will be a well-rounded leader with demonstrated experience in building strong and sustained business relationships.

The leader will ideally have a combination of the following: Technical / Professional Competencies University degree Minimum of 10 years’ experience in retail – Dealer/Franchise experience preferred Bilingual (English and French) A strong propensity for cross-functional collaboration, experience in a large, complex organization preferred Superb joint problem-solving and influencing skills Self-starter who is comfortable navigating through ambiguity Existing relationships with our Dealer network is an asset Strong financial acumen and financial analysis skills Leadership, Management and Relationship Building Skills Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Demonstrated effective working relationships Trusted partner: possess proven partnering skills as a trusted colleague and advisor Ability to navigate through the complexities of a large organization.
