Reporting to the Senior Manager, Client Services, this newly created Manager role manages the provision of services to clients in the Attendant Outreach and Supportive Housing programs in support of the mission, vision, and strategic objectives of Nucleus Independent Living.

The Client Services Manager is accountable to: Within this general mandate, the Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the programs maximizing operational effectiveness and quality within a client-centered care delivery model.

This position will maintain internal controls through development and recommendation of policies and procedures, provide budget oversight and provide selection, leadership, and supervision of program staff.

This position supports a just culture for reporting unsafe practice and/or errors; identifies staff and client safety risks and acts on safety recommendations; supports and develops a workplace that embraces diversity encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory, legislative, and funder requirements.

Key skills and experience we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in a related field.

Professional regulation (RN/RPN/SW/SSW) is preferred.

This will be combined with a minimum of 5 years’ management/leadership experience and a minimum of 5
– 7 years’ work experience within a community sector or a health care environment.

Significant experience and knowledge of direct care/case management in community health care is an asset as is experience working with the physically disabled population and demonstrated knowledge of community resources, including various funding sources.

In addition to education and experience, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong business acumen combined with familiarity with the relevant MOHLTC policies.

They will bring a history of effective program management and growth; demonstrate refined critical thinking and problem-solving abilities and the ability to effectively manage complex and ambiguous situations.

The selected candidate will have a proven ability to establish and maintain productive and trusting working relationships internally and externally with a wide range of stakeholders and partnering organizations.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening); a commitment to collaborative approaches, and proficiency with the MS suite of programs (Outlook; Word; Excel; PowerPoint, etc.) are all required, as is a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Knowledge of AlayaCare and RAI-CHA are assets.

This is a full-time, permanent role.

On-call responsibilities are required on a rotational basis to support our 24/7 organization (remunerated).

This position will work between Nucleus office sites in Oakville and Toronto.

Travel within the communities Nucleus serves is required.
