Who we need Reporting to the Underwriting Manager & Insurance Business Systems Analyst, we are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join us for a 12-month contract.

You will provide first-level support for applicants requesting an update on the status of their files.

In addition, you will handle outgoing correspondence for the Underwriting Department and support the application as it goes through the approval process, acting as a liaison with credit union partners, account executives and vendors.

This is an onsite position for at least six months, with the possibility of transitioning into a hybrid model (one week onsite, one week remotely).

What you will do Customer Service.

You will respond to inquiries from applicants, accounts, agent/account reps and medical vendors, usually about the status of the application.

You will reach out to applicants on case files that are set to be closed and explain what outstanding requirements exist, working to conserve the application process that was previously started.

You will generate daily and monthly stats for reporting purposes.

Collaborate.

You will seek information from account executives, credit unions, and vendor partners.

You will act as a backup to your co-workers, supporting the team and communicating across departments.

You will prioritize exceptional service to internal and external customers and contribute ideas and feedback to enhance our operations.

Professional Development.

You will develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of our products and services, attending appropriate development courses.

You will keep abreast of claims, insurance and legislative changes and best practices.

The technical skills.

You are analytical, detail-oriented, and can balance priorities, adapting quickly from one task to another.

You have hands-on experience using MS Word and MS Excel and can quickly learn new software.

You have flexible and effective written and verbal communication skills.

You can build working relationships, take direction, and work collaboratively as part of a team, jumping in where needed.

You demonstrate empathy and practice principles that promote positive interactions.
