UHN Digital delivers information management and technology services for the entire organization and is responsible for assisting UHN staff and students in transforming lives and communities.

PURPOSE: The Digital Asset Coordinator would be responsible for the tracking of UHN Digital assets both digitally, via the CMDB, and physically on-site.

This function impacts all organizational computing devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones, WOW carts and peripherals.

Careful tracking and shipment of devices to and from all UHN sites would be the primary responsibility of this role.

The Digital Asset Coordinator will work closely with Digital Tech Support Managers and End User Enablement Technical Specialists within UHN, they will also communicate with UHN employees as well Technical Support Technicians.

Constant contact with external vendors outside of UHN is also required, escalating orders and remediating errors as they come about.

Some technical knowledge will be necessary.

Knowledge of the offerings of the various vendors, and changes to those offerings will be communicated as requested and required.

Minor troubleshooting for devices that are shipped, and processing of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) protocols will occur regularly.

This will be done with direction provided from Digital Finance.

Key Responsibilities: Physically lift, move and sort assets, up to 50lbs, as required in our storage cage Manage assets in the CMDB and physically on-site
– at all sites Ship and receive assets as required Maintain UHN’s hardware database Coordinate RMA returns with guidance from Digital Finance Wipe RMA devices Escalated problems to vendors and UHN management as they occur Coordinate deployment requirements with Tech Support technicians Organize items to be imaged by support technicians Test active inventory hardware Audit CIs on-site for Digital Finance Visit remote stock rooms weekly Audit UHN hardware Communicate with UHN staff on hardware orders Enter new hardware into CMDB Place orders based on requests from UHN’s Service Portal for hardware, software and cellular phones Update CIs Organize deliveries to offsite locations Education and Experience: At minimum, completion of 1-3 year community college program in Supply Chain Management or recognized equivalent Required Experienced with ServiceNow or similar tool for database entry Understands fundamentals of MariaDB or similar Possesses working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principals Self-motivated team player Solid hardware knowledge with PCs, mobile computing and peripherals Good analytical and problem solving skills Good verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills Able to work with minimal supervision on simple to moderately complex tasks Able to work with multidisciplinary teams in a positive and productive manner Ability to effectively deal with high priority unscheduled tasks and problems If you are interested in making your contribution at UHN, please apply on-line.
