Fluid Power Technical Support

Applied Industrial Technologies LP Canada

This is a Full-time position in Saskatoon, SK posted August 19, 2019.

Applied Industrial Technologies LP is an extensive network of industrial distribution facilities located throughout Canada.

We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Fluid Power Technical Support based out of either our Saskatoon, SK or Edmonton, AB locations.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Provide solutions based selling through solving customer problems/applications and aiding with troubleshooting of complex fluid power systems
• Assist inside and outside sales staff with technical expertise and product selection
• Work with outside sales staff to estimate system cost and present proposal’s to customers
• Interpret scope of customer requests, preliminary sketches / drawings as needed and evaluate technical data to evaluate risks, concerns and/or compatibilities of products within specific applications during product standardizations and rationalizations.

• Ensure technical requirements for the customer are met
• Assist with onsite troubleshooting of customers’ concerns
• Routinely interact face-to-face with customers to foster strong relationships and maintain satisfaction
• Maintain appropriate relationship with key suppliers The successful candidate may have the following qualifications:
• 3-5 years of Hydraulic experience, with proven track record in either troubleshooting, component selection and/or hydraulic system design is required
• Mechanical Engineering Technology degree/diploma is preferred
• Superior problem solving abilities
• Enjoy hands-on approach to learning
• Ability to communicate professionally and confidently to customers, co-workers and management.

• Ability to prioritize a number of tasks and complete a variety of work assignments within process and critical deadlines
