GHGSAT: Satellite Operations And Customer Support Lead

This is a Full-time position in Saint-Elzear, QC posted February 16, 2021.

GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers around the world.We use our own satellites and aircraft sensors, combined with third-party data, to help industrial emitters better understand, control, and reduce their emissions.

GHGSat’s capability is unique: we provide high-resolution, local measurements of atmospheric methane and carbon dioxide concentration from space.This further enables to detect greenhouse gas emitters and to visualize and quantify their emissions.

We just launched our second satellite, and we are at a critical moment in our growth trajectory.

We are looking for a Team Lead who will set standards and head our efforts for customer service and support for all our products.

Reporting to our VP, Operations, our Satellite Operations and Customer Support Lead will be the customer face of our technical Operations team and will be key to maintaining and propelling excellent customer service standards.

This role will be based out of Montreal, QC, Canada.

ResponsibilitiesProvide support for all matters relating to our satellite operations service scheduleManage and update customer service standards for all our customers and contractsManage customer onboarding with use of SalesforceWork with Sales Team to identify improvements on reports and customer relationsUnderstand and interpret the analysis of remote sensing measurements of greenhouse gas and air quality gas emissions with GHGSat’s toolchainImplement documentation standards for customer reportsCustomer relations: understand customer needs, collect data, present, and discuss resultsEnsure that all contractual commitments have been delivered on time to the customer once a purchase order is signed and transferred to the operations teamSupport planning and management operations of the remote sensing instrumentsImplement processes to provide visibility on tasks priorities and delivery KPIImplement customer management/support best practicesMaintain excellent working relationships with internal and external clientsAbilitiesExceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communicationAbility to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines and respond quickly to management and client requestsExperience with satellite operations and schedulingExperience with satellite imagery and reportingProficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.ComFamiliarity with contractual languageGood organizational skills and the ability to multitaskAbility to work with team of highly qualified technical expertsExperience in dealing with external stakeholders (shareholders, customers, suppliers, partners, etc.)Familiarity with GIS, ArcGISInterest in scientific analysis, in atmospheric sciences, in remote sensing systems, and in spaceBackgroundBachelor’s degree in engineering or similar3+ years of experience in Satellite Operations rolesFluent in English, French an assetMust be able to obtain security clearanceGHGSat offers a creative and highly motivating work environment.
