This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community-based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.

Responsibilities The Health Services Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to multi-disciplinary teams within a patient-centred, Collaborative Practice Model for patient care.

Working collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers, the Manager applies strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges to achieve the ultimate goal of high quality, safe and cost effective services to better support patient experience/outcome.

The Manager exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the Health Services Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Directions of NSHA, and incorporates into daily practice the Core Competencies and Values of NSHA.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a health related discipline Minimum 5 years recent clinical experience in a position included in this portfolio Minimum 5 years recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource and financial management within a unionized environment Demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication and interpersonal effectiveness Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking and decision-making skills Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, internet, email, and the ability to utilize health information systems for decision support Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and access to reliable vehicle Hours of Work Long Assignment Full-time Position Beginning June 28, 2021 with an expected end date of December 31, 2022 Salary Information $41.9986
