The Opportunity

The Regional Director, Hr Business Partner acts as the People Business Partner to 5-7 Amica residences across the greater Toronto area. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded, seasoned HR Generalist who will thrive on providing hands-on support to a team of leaders who are passionate about making a difference in senior’s lives. Based in the Toronto area, you will travel frequently to our various residences to provide support, guidance and solutions in employee & labor relations, leadership development, talent acquisition, performance management, and training. You are passionate about coaching leaders in alignment with the organization’s culture and strategy. As a member of the regional operations team, you will ensure regional alignment and execution of the organization’s key strategic initiatives.

What you will be doing

• Work with Local Leaders and the Regional Team to identify, create and implement people solutions that enhance business performance

• Support Residence-based leaders in maintaining positive team member relations
• Participate as a member of the Regional Operations Team, including preparing for, facilitating and/or contributing to quarterly Business Performance Reviews
• Support performance management process, leadership review process and annual merit process

• Drive annual team member engagement survey participation and help build and rollout action plans with residences
• Ensure Team Members are conducting appropriate basic training, meeting all regulatory training requirements and all new hires go through full learning paths
• Review, analyze and consult on people metrics (turnover, compliance reporting, vacancy metrics, etc.)

• Provide support and coach Residence Leaders on all Team Member relations matters and follow up to ensure culture is maintained and operational risk minimized

What we’re looking for

• You have a degree or diploma in Human Resources or related program. Business Administration and/or Psychology will be considered an asset
• You possess a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a HR Generalist/HR Business Partner role, ideally supporting employees in multiple locations
• Some experience supporting Labour Relations is required
• Experience working with seniors would be considered an asset
• You have comprehensive knowledge of current HR policies, processes and best practices that drive a healthy workplace through effective recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement, development and rewards, and recognition
• General knowledge of various employment laws and practices in Ontario

• You are skilled at utilizing problem solving and coaching skills to support leaders in enriching the lives of our team members and leaders
• Ability to travel frequently within Canada as required
