IT Technical Support

Geoswift

This is a Contract position in Kamloops, ia posted October 5, 2021.

Geoswift is an innovative payment technology company and provides clients with customized one-stop cross-border payment solutions to and from China.

Geoswift is headquartered in Hong Kong with teams spread across Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore, London, Vancouver, Seattle, and San Francisco for strategic and regulatory functions.

We also run a number of currency exchange stores across major cities in China.

Now We are looking for an experienced IT technical Supporter to join our dynamic team based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The role will encompass, but not be limited to IT Help Desk, Information Technology software and hardware management, IT administration work.

The successful candidate will be also able to assist customers with product implementation and meet business requirements.

About Your Role:
– Analyzing, designing, developing, testing, implementing and sustaining enterprise integration services to meet business requirements.

– Lead customers through development, QA, and deployment; assisting customers with product implementation, troubleshooting, and debugging.

– Own the technical customer relationship throughout the on-boarding and product implementation cycle.

– Providing production support for incident resolution.

– Provide on-site or remote product installation, support and problem solving for IT Infrastructure related tasks such as network, systems, email, server, desktop and IP phones.

– Communicate with vendors in mainland China, Canada, UK and USA.

– Setup and assign new computers, cell phones and other IT equipment to new employees.

and maintain computer operating system, software and network software as needed.

– Help desk and provide direct support to western region office on IT related matters.

– Some other IT administration work, create and maintain SharePoint, one drive etc.

Qualification
– Experience in configuring, implementing and supporting technical solutions.

– Experience in multiple programming languages and frameworks.

Java or PHP experience with web services, JavaScript, JSON, Web Application Development, and debugging in a web development context is an asset.

– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– Team player, Positive attitude with high sense of responsibility and can-do spirits.

– Knowledge of PC, network and related hardware and software.

– Strong verbal and written English communication skills, Mandarin and /or Cantonese language skill is a strong asset.

– Previous experience in the security, finance, or e-commerce industries and knowledge in PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 is a solid plus.

– Experience in designing & implementing software systems.
