Opportunity DetailsLeverageTek is actively seeking a Software Support Engineer for a Permanent position with its Eastern Ontario-based customer.Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, the Software Support Engineer serves as a technical expert for the support, maintenance, and upgrades of our customer’s primary software systems.

This individual will be hands-on and oversee all software on a daily basis.QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of software product support experience In depth knowledge of: PowerShell Sybase DBMS Linux operating systemPost-secondary degree in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsRESPONSIBILITIES:Seeks to understand, replicate and resolve complicated technical issues raised through the day-to-day support of the three main software packages widely used within the organizationMaintain software through routine maintenance and planned and proactive updatesAnalyze, identify and resolve system issues, while recommending enhancements or fixesUpgrade the software, as required using a project management disciplineValidate upgrades in a test environment to reduce the risk of disruption to the businessDocument changes to the systems that will help IT colleagues or end usersAssist in database activities when requiredMentor other members of the IT team and the business when requiredSupport the technology and communication tools in the company’s vehicles
