Mainframe Support Analyst


This is a Contract position in Coquitlam, BC posted October 2, 2021.

Mainframe Support AnalystContract Term: 6 months highly renewableWork Location: Toronto, ONOur client, a global leading IT company, is looking for a Mainframe Support Analyst.Technical Skill set :IBM z/OS Mainframe, with strong knowledge of Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, Easytrieve, FOCUS, PL1.

Experience on Change Request management, Incident management.

Experience on ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Jira etc.Good to have: ESP Job Scheduler and monitoring, STAR, ZARA, MFT, Knowledge in Application Code Scan tools like Veracode.

Banking Domain (Wealth Management) experience.Roles and responsibilities :Experience in Mainframe environment in the areas of Production Support.Requirement gathering, Detail Design approach, Coding & implementation.

The whole SDLC life cycle for enhancements & projects.Coordinate with IT groups, dependent teams and ensure effective application services to ensure reliability of all applications.Raise incident ticket for all issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production processes.Analyze maintenance issues and provide operational support to same and perform reviews.Provide response to business queries and create adhoc reports.Maintain effective communication for job failures, file delays.Involve in Cobol, CICS, DB2, PL/I upgrade and troubleshoot all issues.Experience in automating batch jobs & processes using innovative ideas, utilities.Expertise in managing dependencies effectively by coordinating with various stakeholders & ensure all the service level agreements are met on a day to day basis.Experience in preparing the technical steps for the changes, review and plan the implementation.To schedule changes and engage associated support teams to ensure implementation is well coordinated.Analyse and schedule required patch requests.Resolve any issues with Dev/QA environments.Extended support to QA team for Batch cycle set-up.Involve in DR activity and data refresh for SIT regions.Update and publish CFM/IPS job flow, maintain AQA library.Experience in Ticketing tools like Service Now.Good experience in Enterprise Incident, Change and Problem Management.Excellent Client Communication skills, Onshore/Offshore Coordination and leadership.Contact InformationLam Guanlam.guanexperis.comManpowerGroup is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/AA)
