POSITION OVERVIEW The Manager, IT Operations and Production Support is responsible for the DBA, Monitoring and Scheduling teams.

It is responsible for the ongoing operation, maintenance, and operation of all BDC servers and central and distributed management applications.

The incumbent must ensure their good performance by monitoring them effectively and managing relationships with third party suppliers and internal teams.

He assists the solution delivery team with all processes related to technical solutions and maintains the integrity and quality of the data production environment.

The incumbent must manage the personnel of his teams, create objectives, monitor performance, and create development plans for his employees.

It must also manage the workload of its teams, priorities, and escalations.

It must manage the systems and resources under its responsibility.

He must also stay up to date with best practices in his field.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET Continuously ensure the operation, maintenance and operation of all management systems and applications under its responsibility Monitor and ensure the overall performance of central and distributed application environments in accordance with service level agreements or standards and take appropriate action to eliminate inferior performance or refer it to the next level, as appropriate Manage day-to-day relationships with third-party providers of services and products related to infrastructure and server hosting to ensure uninterrupted and efficient services Preserve the integrity and quality of the data production environment; lead the direct resolution of problems that arise during production and implementation of safe solutions in accordance with established policies and standards Develop and implement capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery procedures for BDC central and distributed application environments Administer effective change management processes to ensure the effective implementation of new software / applications releases and infrastructure upgrades in order to minimize risk of downtime Manage the application of the Change and Continuity processes WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a combination of computer training and relevant experience A minimum of 5 years of experience specific to the field of expertise Professionalism and concern for a job well done Analytical mind, structured and rigorous reasoning Ease of communicating constantly with various stakeholders Autonomous, self-taught and dynamic Ability to write documents in a clear and structured manner Ease of solving problems in innovative ways and in emergency situations Written and spoken bilingualism EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER At BDC, we value diversity in our workforce and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
