Mechanical Technician / Junior Arbitration Specialist / Dealer Support

OtolaneSoft Corporation

This is a Contract position in Smithville, ON posted October 13, 2021.

This position facilitates the resolution of customer complaints (includes all vehicles and online transactions) after a sale and is responsible for arbitration.

Responsibilities Examine customer complaints and mechanical reports on the condition of the vehicle.

Resolve arbitration differences in a polite and clear manner between buyer and seller following any misrepresentation the seller may have made during the auction Apply auction arbitration policies and procedures.

Visually inspect the vehicle to determine the extent of repairs, if any, and authorize a second opinion, if necessary.

Inform clients of the auction policy and the arbitration process.

Solve after-sales problems.

Monitor and maintain accurate records for each arbitration case.

Review customer complaints to verify compliance with OtolaneSoft Corporation’s arbitration policies and advise on financial settlements relating to arbitrations.

Interact with all departments involved in any arbitration matter.

Screen and verify all qualified vehicles before listing them for auction.

Perform other duties as assigned by management and assist the support department.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.

At least three to five years of automotive, mechanical or body shop experience with recording and resolving complaints.

Able to communicate and write in English and French (fully bilingual)
