JOB DESCRIPTION: Mobile support equipment operators drive all kinds of military vehicles ranging from standard automobiles to snow removal equipment or specialized and all-terrain vehicles.

They must make sure that maintenance deadlines are meet and the vehicles accessories are in good condition.

Before applying, it is strongly recommended to look at the online descriptive information as well as the video for your selected trade: http://bit.ly/FAC171E3 TASKS: Operate buses, automobiles, trucks and tractor-trailers Operate specialized mobile equipment such as fuelling tankers, snowplows, tractors and all-terrain vehicles Receive, load, secure and unload materiel and equipment transported by road Provide transportation support for combat and field operations Maintain equipment in serviceable condition by cleaning, inspecting and correcting minor faults Prepare dispatch schedules and coordinate user requirements for vehicles and equipment Prepare and maintain job-related forms, records and reports WORKING ENVIRONMENT: In most cases, Reserve Force members serve on a part-time basis within a military unit in their community and may perform evening and weekend service, while in school or in civilian employment.

They may also serve by holding full-time positions within certain units for specified periods.

They are paid during their instruction.

They are not subjected to military assignments or relocations.

However, they can volunteer to move to another base or to deploy in Canada or abroad on military missions.

They make an important contribution to the success of military operations at home and abroad.
