Production Support Analyst – Unix, Linux, SQL, Oracle

Tata Consultancy Services

This is a Contract position in Halifax, ia posted September 18, 2021.

Must have skills:
• IT experience in Application/Product support in Production and Non Prod environments
• Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Cloud experience
• Messaging tools like Kafka
• Experience in support, maintenance or development of Angular JS applications
• Hands on experience with Unix
• Good working knowledge on SQL
• Good knowledge of DB Objects and experience in query preparation and execution
• Monitoring tools (preferably Dynatrace) and dashboarding of server/application parameters
• Good experience in log analysis, troubleshooting production and non-prod issues
• Should be adept with ITIL Service Operations methodologies (Incident, Problem and Change Management)
• Should have experience with Service management tools like ServiceNow, Jira
• Should have experience in maintaining and creating knowledge articles, PRPs and other support related documentation in knowledge base Good to have skills:
• Knowledge of ZEKE batch scheduler or any other job scheduler tool
• Knowledge of Application Server: Apache Tomcat and IIS
• Knowledge of Devops tools would be good to have (GIT, UCD)
• Automation of monitoring, recurring work with any scripting language
• Experience in supporting Java and .Net applications Role:
• Provide application support during business hours
• Provide on call support after business hours to correct any critical / time sensitive issues impacting the application
• Resolving Incidents and attending to daily operation requests
• Investigation and resolution of production problems & Service Requests (diagnosis, testing & documentation)
• Troubleshooting and coordinating resolution
• Root Cause Analysis and Application Fixes using problem management process
• Provide on-going monitoring services for all critical hardware, software and all application components
• Enhance monitoring service depending upon the alerts received and automate the resolutions
• Health Checks and Automation
• Monitoring of Critical Batch Processes
• Prepare application release packages in co-ordination with application development team
• Submit change requests required for deployment/implementation team
• Obtain approvals and submit application release packages for deployment/implementation
• Follow DevOps processes
• Scripted Automation of Repetitive Manual activities (health checks, manual status reporting, etc.)
• Updating the OMS documentation
• Run Book automation
• Knowledge Management
• SLA and KPI reporting
