Senior Maintenance and Support Technical Analyst


This is a Contract position in Milton, ON posted June 16, 2021.

What is the opportunity?

As a Sr Maintenance and Support Technical Analyst you will be a member of an application team responsible for providing application support within Enterprise Payments and Trade, Business Payments Solution group.

You will gain knowledge and expertise in the Payment applications and be able to assess business needs and recommend effective solutions.

The ideal candidate will have leadership qualities combined with strong technical skills.

What will you do?

Provide day to day production support of production systems and applications, including weekend and after-hours support as required Assess, research and analyze business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs that meet sponsor needs and project objectives Design and code enhancements to meet business requirements and project objectives in agile and iterative waterfall environments while adhering to source code and release management policies Build Continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines and automation opportunities in DevOps Lead and mentor team members throughout the Project Lifecycle along with providing consulting services on new initiatives (small to medium complexity) Develop detailed IT plans and accurate estimates Collaborate closely with IT partners and business partners to support our production applications to ensure minimal business downtime Manage multiple priorities across a number of assignments, prioritizing effectively What do you need to succeed?

Must-have 3-5 years in depth experience with production support or development experience, system monitoring, troubleshooting network or application.

Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

High proficiency in .Net, SQL, objective oriented programming, and Distributed systems
– Windows, Linux.

Ability to troubleshoot low to medium complexity production issues quickly and independently, or within a team if higher complexity.

Experience in Agile and DevOps methodology using UrbanCodeDeploy, GitHub and Jenkins, Ansible and ELK stack (Elastic, logstash and Kibana) Experience in developing detailed IT plans and accurate estimates Nice-to-have Working knowledge of Mainframe (TSO, JCL, ZEKE) Cloud knowledge What’s in it for you?
