Synechron: Middle Office Loan Trading Support Analyst


This is a Full-time position in Champ-Fleuri, QC posted February 17, 2021.

For one of our clients, a leading investment bank in Montreal, we are looking for a Middle Office Loan Trading Support Analyst who will join the team that supports the settlement process of primary / secondary loan trades and loan TRS, including all funding and documentation matters and is responsible for providing daily operational support to the Sales and Loan Trading desk.

Responsibilities :Working with the trading desk, clients, counsel and operations teams to settle primary and secondary loan tradesCreating trades and confirm the details of trades created in Clearpar match trader’s browser in StarPreparing and reviewing the LSTA/LMA standard documents including Trade Confirms, Assignment Agreements, Participation agreements and Multilateral AgreementsCoordinating among counterparts and administrative agents, the review and execution of all trade documents necessary for closingPreparing and reviewing pricing prior to settlementPreparing closing package for the BankMonitoring and managing high volumes of loan closings, update data in systems and perform reconciliations between Star and Sentry and Clearpar and StarMonitoring and applying corporate events in Star for both unsettled and settled tradesInvestigating and resolving closing and transactional breaks/issues in a timely mannerMonitoring trader’s position between Star and SentryCommunicating and escalating any trade issues to management and the trading deskReading and interpreting Credit Agreements and AmendmentsMaintaining a high level of customer service with quick response times and accurate information (both internally and externally)Crossing train on Starbird activity (back up for NY team member) if in US groupParticipating in weekly team meeting with supervisor in New York/UKReporting status of unsettled trades and key risk indicators to management weeklyTaking part in different projects under the supervision of ManagerContributing directly to the Permanent Operational Control by identifying operational risksPreparing of Non Disclosure Agreements and distribution of confidential information if in UK group Qualifications :Bachelor’s degree in FinanceLoan experienceExcel skillsStrong organizational skills, concern for quality & accuracyExcellent interpersonal skills, customer service orientedCommunication skills (written and verbal)Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
