Datameer is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer.

You will assist customers with their how-to questions about Datameer software functionality and usage, diagnose and troubleshoot errors, and work with backend engineering teams to fix bugs.

Preferred candidate locations are out of New York and Toronto, but strong remote candidates will also be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and work the incoming ticket queue and phone help line from 7am to 3pm EST Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation once every 4-5 weeks Provide top-notch customer service, contributing to outstanding results in renewals Demonstrate outstanding technical expertise to solve technical escalations for customers from companies of all sizes ranging from small business to fortune 100 Contribute actively to our community and knowledge base to enable customers to solve their own problems Reproduce and frame bug reports to Engineering to continue to improve the Datameer applications Mentor fellow Technical Support Engineers to develop technical skills Consulting engagements and deployment of the Datameer applications Up to 20% yearly travel QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years hands-on experience troubleshooting and supporting Linux/Unix applications 2 years hands-on experience with Linux based cloud infrastructure 1 year of hands-on experience of administration and support of Snowflake Strong Linux proficiency including authoring of shell scripts Hands-on experience working with enterprise authentication (i.e.

Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos) Understanding of Java programming and web application deployment (i.e.

JBoss, Jetty, Tomcat) Advanced knowledge of SQL Strong communication skills in English Experience working in a dynamic startup environment a plus We are an equal opportunity employer.
