– Verwaltung Workplace Support Analyst domain Government of Northwest Territories location_on Yellowknife The Department of Infrastructure (INF) provides high quality services to the public and Government of the Northwest Territories’ (GNWT) departments, boards and agencies including the planning, design, construction, acquisition, operation and maintenance of public transportation infrastructure and the buildings, works and equipment required for the GNWT to deliver its programs and services.

INF makes essential petroleum products available for sale to the public where these products are not provided by the private sector, and promotes the development and increased use of energy efficient technologies.

INF also regulates electrical and mechanical safety services and licenses individuals and vehicles operating in the territory.

Located in Yellowknife and reporting to the Manager, IT Support Services, you would be one of several Workplace Support Analysts working with moderate supervision and coordination to provide rapid response and technical support to workstation and network users within the Technology Service Center’s (TSCs) mandate; approximately 2,200 users.

Services are provided in accordance with a framework of operating procedures and guidelines established by the Management Team of the TSC, and with standards developed by the Director of the TSC or by the GNWT Standards Committee.

You would take functional direction from the Workplace Support Team Lead.

You must be fully aware of the need to create a positive working relationship with each client with whom they come in contact, recognizing that the success of the TSC is dependent not just on the incumbent’s technical abilities, but also on a high level of client service.

You would be responsible for providing on-site technical support of a routine nature to all clients of the TSC requiring hands-on technical support or assistance.

You would also be required to provide input and support to the End User Support (EUS) Services Manager and Workplace Support Team Leader so that s/he can align TSC services and support consistently across all EUS teams.

While also providing support and consultation of the TSC Asset Management processes, procedures and policy.

Working knowledge of computer technology and the ability to review, troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems experienced by users (word processors, spreadsheets, email, internet, security, printers, CPUs, LAN, operating systems, peripherals, etc.).

Typically attained by.

Completion of a certificate or diploma in computer science or information systems, with 2 to 3 years of related experience in the IT industry.
